Getting Started
1. Getting Started

Before you can personalize a book, you’ll need to create an account. This keeps your child’s information secure and gives you access to features like order tracking, saved submissions, and your wishlist.

How to Create an Account

Click “Log In” in the top right corner of any page. On the login screen, click “Sign Up.” You’ll see three options:

  • Sign up with Google — Use your existing Google account for one-click sign up.

  • Sign up with Facebook — Use your existing Facebook account.

  • Sign up with email — Enter your email address and choose a password.

You’ll also see a checkbox that says “Sign up to this site with a public profile.” You can leave this unchecked. It’s not required and has no effect on your account or orders.

Logging In

After creating your account, click “Log In” anytime to access your account. If you signed up with Google or Facebook, just click the same button you used to sign up. If you signed up with email, enter your email and password.

Tip: If you forget your password, click “Forgot Password” on the login screen and follow the instructions sent to your email.

3. Browsing Our Books

Click “Books” in the menu to see our full catalog. Books are organized into four series, each with its own section on the page:

  • Little Adventurers Series — Exciting adventures where your child is the hero. Pirates, farms, superheroes, dinosaurs, and more.

  • Learn-a-Little Series — Emotional journey stories that help children navigate big feelings like frustration, jealousy, and loneliness.

  • Little Detective Series — Mystery adventures where your child follows clues and cracks the case.

  • Little Bedtime Classics — Beloved classic stories reimagined with your child at the center.

Each book shows a cover image, the title, the price, and the current volume discount (Buy 3 Books, Save 20%). Click any book cover or title to go to that book’s product page.

Tip: You can add a book to your wishlist directly from the Books page by clicking the heart icon on the book’s cover image.

4. The Product Page

Each book has its own product page with everything you need to know before ordering:

  • Cover image — A preview of the book’s cover art.

  • Price — The cost per book. PayPal’s Pay in 4 option is also shown for interest-free installments.

  • Add to Wishlist — Save this book for later without adding it to your cart.

  • Story description — A summary of the adventure your child will go on. Click “Read more” to see the full description.

  • Read Sample — Preview a sample of the story before you buy.

Expandable sections provide additional details:

How do we make this story uniquely yours? — Explains how we use your child’s photos and personal details to create a truly one-of-a-kind book.

Size — The physical dimensions of the book.

Quality — Details about paper quality and printing.

Print Length — The number of pages.

Starting Your Personalization

When you’re ready, click the “Personalize Your Story” button. If you’re not already logged in, you’ll be asked to log in or create an account first. Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the personalization form.

5. Personalizing Your Story

This is where the magic happens. The personalization form is where you share the details that make the book uniquely your child’s. Every field marked with an asterisk (*) is required.

Meet the Star of Our Story
  • Child’s First Name or Nickname — This is exactly how your child’s name will appear in the story. If your child goes by a nickname, use that.

  • Choose One — Select Boy or Girl. This determines the pronouns used throughout the story (he/him/his or she/her/hers).

  • Town or Region — Enter your child’s town, a state or region, or even a funny, imaginative place. This adds an extra personal sparkle to the story.

A Few Magic Touches

These fun details get woven into your child’s story in creative ways — through dialogue, thoughts, and special moments:

  • Favorite Animal — What animal does your child love most?

  • Favorite Food — What’s their go-to meal or snack?

  • Favorite Color — The color that lights up their eyes.

  • Favorite Hobby — Anything from riding their bike to throwing tea parties.

  • A Word That Makes Them Giggle — A silly word that always gets a laugh.

  • Special Talent — Something they’re great at — remembering every dinosaur name, running fast, hopping like a bunny, being a great helper, climbing, dancing.

Preferred Language
  • Choose English or Spanish for your book.

Dedication
  • Add a personal message that will appear in the front of the book. For example: “To our little adventurer. Love, Aunt Debby and Uncle Doug.”

Add a Little Photo Magic

Upload two photos of your child. These are used to create a custom illustrated character that looks like your little one:

  • Portrait Image — A clear, front-facing photo of your child’s face.

  • Profile Image — A side-view or angled photo showing another perspective.

Supported file types include JPG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, and many more. Maximum file size is 25MB per image.

Tip: The clearer the photos, the better your child’s character will look in the book. Natural lighting with the face clearly visible works best. Avoid sunglasses, hats, or heavy filters.

Parental Consent
  • Check the box confirming that you are an adult authorized to share this child’s information for the purpose of creating a personalized book. A link to our Privacy Policy is provided.

Submitting the Form
  • Once every required field is filled in and both photos are uploaded, click “Add to Cart.” Your personalization will be saved, and the book will be added to your shopping cart with a unique Reference ID that connects your personalization details to your order.

6. Adding to Cart and Checking Out

Your Cart

Click the cart icon at the top of any page to view your cart. You’ll see each book you’ve added along with its Reference ID, price, and quantity. From here you can:
